Ethos

Rathfarnham Parish N.S. is a child-centred, nurturing community where everyone is equally valued, respected and supported in a happy, holistic and inclusive environment.

Children are encouraged to be creative, competent and resourceful.  The school develops the children's capacity and motivation for active and meaningful participation in society, and fosters their ability to contribute positively and compassionately towards the creation of a more sustainable and just world.

This is a school with a Church of Ireland ethos where children experience a sense of caring and belonging and Christian values of respect, honesty, kindness, responsibility and tolerance are fostered.  Drawing on its Anglican tradition, home/family involvement is encouraged and the school has close links with Rathfarnham Parish and the wider community.  Families of all faiths and none are welcomed in this inclusive school.
